Major arrested over club incident
An Army Major has been arrested and remanded over an incident at a club in Bambalapitiya where he had brandished his weapon, threatened the staff and damaged property worth over Rs. 5 lacks.

The Major, identified as Ranjith Kumara, was arrested by the military police and produced before the Mount Lavinia additional Magistrate today. He was remanded till March 10 and the police said they are on the lookout for two others in connection with the incident.
